Alchemist Workshop’s first musical theatre camp of the summer is this week for young people ages 6 to 18 is at John Stark Regional High School.

Two new, original musicals by William Ogmundson will be featured Watch Your Head, the story of Elizabeth and Mary Queen of the Scots as teens, and Food, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly using soft puppets designed by Sandra Kaliscik.

Performance of these two new musical one-acts will be at 7 p.m. on Aug. 3. Admission by donation and very family friendly!

Next week, a writing/film/acting camp will be presented at John Stark Regional High School for ages 10 to 18. This is the 18th year of a camp built around the ideas of the Young Playwrights’ Program in NYC and London. Many of the alumni have gone on to have scripts they wrote and directed presented at Film Festivals and on stages all over New England.

A public performance of the work created at the camp will be at 7 p.m. on Aug. 10. Admission by donation and very family friendly.
